A track inspired by the great ice hockey player Ulf Sterner. In russian broadcast his name was spelled “Stephep”. Also a nod to my old friend and jazz teacher Ulf Sterner who now runs the small and cosy Glenn Miller Café in Stockholm. On this track I was going for a slight “Dubstep-ish” tempo and feel in the drum part and used improvised guitar loops that I cut into different parts for the head theme. Likewise, the guitars during the breakdown are improvised and cut up parts. The guitar solo is improvised and recorded in one take. All guitars were tracked with my strat, except for the picked chord part which was played on a dobro.
